Great article Laura! As a lifelong B2B sales practitioner, the biggest disconnect that I see in sales enablement efforts is ignoring the customer's perspective. Enlightened sales & marketing organizations fundamentally understand that all messaging, content and tools need to be created for the buyer, not the sales team.

Great and not surprisingly successful companies get that, Apple is a perfect example. Sales enablement is no different. The core of achieving sales enablement excellence is the discovery and discernment process required to truly understand and emotionally connect with your customers.
